My family and I are interested in moving to Port St. Lucie, FL from NJ. Does anyone have some info for us?

The question

I have a cleaning business I want to restart in that area. How is demand for that type of business there and surrounding areas? My soon to be wife is a dental assistant are there jobs for her field? We have a 9 & 8 yr ancient. How are the schools there? How is traffic, crime, and is there cultural acceptance there? I am black and my fiancee is puerto rican. Is there racial issues? We are looking to rent a home under a thousand a month. Is the rent there resonable? Is recreation in the area excellent? We are devoted christians. Are there a excellent amount of churches to choose from? Any info will be so helpful. Thank you and God bless.

Its kind of nice down there. You will like the weather.
See the sites below.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 88,769 people, 33,909 households, and 25,736 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,175.1 people per square mile (453.7/km²). There were 36,785 housing units at an average density of 487.0/sq mi (188.0/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 87.88% White, 7.09% African American, 1.24% Asian, 0.23% Native American, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 1.77% from other races, and 1.76% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 7.52% of the population.

The median income for a household in the city was $ 40,509, and the median income for a family was $ 44,162. Males had a median income of $ 18,730 versus $ 16,702 for females. The per capita income for the city was $ 18,059. About 15.7% of families and 17.9% of the population were below the poverty line, including 11.1% of those under age 18 and 9.8% of those age 65 or over.

You also need to get a reality check. Port St. L. is a clean place, but it’s one of the most expensive places to live on the Florida East Coast. A house will run you nearly $ 2000 per month and jobs are hard to come by…

normally one appointment to take x-rays and molds of your teeth, an appointment for spacers, an ten an appointment for the actual braces

how many follow up and ajustment appointments are up to the indiividual orthodontist

You’ll have an appt where they check out your teeth to see if you really need them, one for xrays and molds, and one for spacers which are small mini rubber bands they place in between your teeth. They might place the spacers in the same appt as the xrays and mold idk it all depends on where you go and what they choose to do. Spacers are no huge deal anyway. They irritate you because they make you feel like u got food stuck in between your teeth but they aren’t too terrible and you won’t have them for long.
